I write to let you know that a robbery occurred this evening on Wall Street near York Street at approximately 11:45 PM (Click here to view the incident's location). An undergraduate student was walking alone when she was approached by a male who assaulted and robbed her of her cell phone. No weapon was displayed and minor injuries were reported. The Yale police are investigating.

As a general reminder, it is important to be aware of your surroundings at all times, and to walk or jog with others when possible, in well-populated and well-lit areas. Avoid displaying valuables, including cash and portable electronic devices. It is also a good idea to note the location of emergency Blue Phones along your route.
