To the Yale Community,

I write to let you know that a robbery occurred this afternoon at Branford College located at 74 High Street at approximately 4:00 PM. An undergraduate student was in the Mendell Room alone when a woman entered and demanded money. When the victim said she had none the woman asked her to get money from other students.   The woman prevented the victim from leaving and persisted in asking for money for cab fare.  The victim ultimately arranged for an Uber ride and the woman left the area.  No weapon was displayed and no injuries were reported. The Yale police are investigating.
