To the Yale Community, 

 

I write to let you know that a robbery occurred this evening in the area of Dwight and George Streets at approximately 7:00 PM.  A graduate student was locking up his bicycle when he was approached from behind by a man who displayed a handgun and robbed the victim of his wallet and cell phone.  No physical injuries were reported and the New Haven police are investigating.
